"I’m still probably the closest to Liam,” Zayn added. “We talk on the phone. He congratulated me on my single, which was nice. I congratulated him on his Brit Award [One Direction won the British Video Award for “Drag Me Down”]. It was a good chat. We haven’t met up in a long time so we want to meet up.
Despite the bad blood that Zayn has created with his former bandmates, though, hopefully staying in touch with Liam will eventually lead the other guys to reconnect with Zayn eventually. But if Zayn keeps up his “whatever” attitude, it seemingly won’t matter to him anyway. Time will only tell, we suppose.
